Macro Rogue

These are the General Rogue Macros I’m using for 4.3. If you have any suggestions or questions about them, please let me know.

General Rogue Macros 4.3

Rogue Poison Macro

/use [button:1] POISON1NAMEHERE; POISON2NAMEHERE

Explanation – Add your two favorite poisons where it says PosionHere. Then all you gotta do is left click it and it will apply both poisons each time.

Rogue Tricks of the Trade Macro

#showtooltip Tricks of the Trade
/cast [@targettarget] Tricks of the Trade

Explanation – If your on the same target as your tank, click this and it will cast Trick of the Trades automatically on the the target of your current elected target, so the tank.

Rogue Blind Macro

/cast [target=mouseover,exists,harm,nodead] Blind

Explanation – You don’t have to have a very complicated Macro for it to be effective, this is the prime example. Whoever you have moused over will be blinded when you click this once.

Rogue Sap Macro

/cast Pick pocket

Explanation – First you must be stealthed, then click this and it will Sap your current target followed by a quick Pickpocket.

Rogue Riposte Macro

/cast [button:1] Sinister Strike; [button:2] Riposte

Explanation – This will cast Sinister Strike on a normal click, and whenever Riposte comes up you can right click Riposte.

Combat Rogue Macros 4.3

Gouge then Bandage Macro

/cast Gouge
 /stopcasting
 /use [target=player] InsertBandageHere

Explanation -First place your highest available bandage in this Macro and when you click it, it will Gouge the enemy followed by a quick bandage.

Blade Furry and Killing Spree Macro

#showtooltip [mod:shift] Blade Flurry; Killing Spree
 /castsequence reset=30 Blade Flurry, Killing Spree

Explanation – Click it once for Blade Furry, then you can click it again in 30 seconds for Killing Spree. Saves on bar space since they use the same cooldown.

Feint and Evasion Macro

#showtooltip Evasion
 /cast Feint
 /cast Evasion

Explanation – Bypasses GCD when you pull aggro. Really great when you pull enemies from the main tank in raids.

Garrote and Sinister Striker Macro

 /cast [stealth] Garrote
 /castrandom [nostealth] Sinister Strike, Riposte

Explanation – If your Stealthed you will use Garrote. If not you will use Sinister Strike. Very useful to save on hotkeys.

Subtlety Rogue Macros 4.3

Stun Lock Macro

#showtooltip /castsequence reset=30 Premeditation,
Cheap Shot, Eviscerate(Rank 11), Dismantle, Shadow Dance,
Shadowstep, Ambush(Rank 9), Ambush(Rank 9), Kidney Shot(Rank 2)

Explanation – This will do all your important Sub abilities at once really fast. It’s always smart to save all your energy saving abilities for it and also replace any of the ranks for what you want.

Shadowstep, Backstab Macro

#showtooltip /castsequence reset=20 Gouge, Shadowstep,
Backstab(Rank 11), Hemorrhage(Rank 4), Kidney Shot(Rank 2)

Explanation – This will be very quick burst followed by a quick stun. Just like the previous one you can replace the rank with anything.

Rogue Silencing Macro

/castsequence reset=20 Gouge, Shadowstep, Kick,
Backstab(Rank 11), Hemorrhage(Rank 4), Eviscerate(Rank 11)

Explanation – Of course this is for those nasty casters. I wouldn’t worry about replacing Eviscerate because it will give you a lot of damage towards the end.

Preparation Macro

#showtooltip Preparation
 /cast [nostealth] Evasion
 /cast [nocombat] Vanish
 /cast Cold Blood
 /cast Sprint
 /cast Preparation

Explanation – If you plan on using Preparation it’s always best to use all your abilities it resets first. Just click this Rogue Macro before you use it and you won’t waste any spells.

Assassination Rogue Macros 4.3

Cold Blood before Ambush, Eviscerate Macro

#showtooltip [stealth] Ambush; Eviscerate
 /cast Cold Blood
 /cast [stealth] Ambush; Eviscerate

Explanation – This is really great because you can bypass your GCD. If your stealthed it will hit Cold Blood then Ambush. If not it will use Eviscerate.

Throwing Weapon + Mutilate Macro

#showtooltip Mutilate
 /startattack
 /equip
 /cast Mutilate

Explanation – Put you strongest thrown weapon under equip and then when you want to cast Mutilate, hit the Macro for extra damage.

Fan of Knives Macro

#showtooltip Fan of Knives
 /startattack
 /equip
 /cast Fan of Knives

Explanation – Much like the previous one. Put your highest Dps thrown weapon in here, and click your Macro for a really hard hitting FoK.

These are a few of my favorite Rogue addons for patch 4.3. Addons are a must have for us. Since a Rogue has be played at such a fast pace, it a good ideal to use at least some of the ones here.

Let me know what your favorite Rogue addons are when you get a chance. Most of the ones I know are from fellow guild mates anyways.

NugComboBar -This one isn’t very new, but it’s still really important to have no mate what tree you chose. It will put a bar on your screen that shows when you have the combot points you need for certain attacks.

Poisoner – Kinda optional if you want this one or not. It’s probably was the easiest Rogue Addon I’ve ever installed. Just chose what bar you want and you will have quick access to all you poisons.

RoguePowerBars – Basically you all in one Rogue addon. Has cooldown timers, buffs, debuffs, and a lot more. If your going to get one, this would be your best bet.
